Procedure for current domain holder
To transfer a domain name to a new holder, you must first have a contact ID as well as a personal identity number/corporate registration number for the party to whom you want to transfer the domain name. Instructions for this can be found under the recipient domain holder tab.
When you have registered the transfer of domain name in the DomainManager, you must also complete and sign the transfer of domain name form and submit it to .SE Direkt. If you do not have a copy of the form you can find it here.
Send the form to .SE Direkt by fax at +46 8-452 35 02, by mail to
IIS – The Internet Foundation In Sweden, Box 7399, SE-103 91 STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, or by e-mail to email@example.com.
After initiating this process, an e-mail will be sent to the recipient domain holder encouraging them to accept the change of holder. The recipient subsequently has one month to accept this in the DomainManager.
When the transfer has been completed, the current and recipient domain holders will be informed by e-mail.
Who can sign the change of holder form?
- If the domain name is registered to a personal identity number, the person to whom the personal identity number belongs must sign the form.
- If the domain name is registered to a corporate registration number, the party or parties who are authorized signatories for the organization must sign the form.
- If the company is in the middle of bankruptcy proceedings, the trustee generally signs on behalf of the company. In this case, documentation must be included, such as a copy of the appointment from the district court.
- If the company is in the middle of liquidation proceedings, the liquidator generally signs on behalf of the company. In this case, documentation is also required that verifies the liquidator’s right to represent the liquidation. If you have any questions regarding who is the authorized signatory, please contact the Swedish Companies Registration Office.
