New free text-messaging service

We recently launched an in-demand service that can send you a text-message reminder a few days in advance of the possible shut-down of your domain due to missing payments. The text-message service is free and available to all of .SE Direkt’s customers. To activate the text-message service for your domains, log in to the DomainManager. You can find instructions on how to activate the text-messaging service in the DomainManager here.

Share your summer memories with family and friends

Summer is here, the greenery is magnificent and this season is listed as a holiday in many people’s calendars. Summer often means having a camera full of wonderful summer memories, but what do we do with all these pictures? Register a .se domain through .SE Direkt and use it as a blog or simple website for sharing your memories with your nearest and dearest.

Go to the DomainManager and search for your desired domain name. Perhaps it’s your-family-name.se or name-of-your-daughter.se, and you surely knew that even the characters å,ä, ö can be used for domain-name registrations?!

Psst! Before your summer cottage beckons, do we have your updated address?

Before all the fun summer activities or your summer cottage hammock begin to beckon, it may be wise to double-check what address you have registered with us.

You can update your address by accessing your account through the DomainManager. Here are some instructions on how to update your contact information.

Using the DomainManager, you can also see your domain’s billing status, update your name-server information and set your options for text-messaging services, for example.

An additional 500,000 Swedes online by year-end 2013

By being a customer of .SE Direkt, you are helping to promote the positive development of the Internet in Sweden. That is to say, we use the proceeds from registration fees for projects aimed at advancing the Internet. Among other projects, part of your domain-name fees is used for the Digidel 2013 campaign – a campaign to increase digital inclusion in Sweden.

The campaign’s objective is to encourage an additional 500,000 Swedes to begin using the Internet by year-end 2013 through a concerted action. There are currently 1,500,000 Swedish residents who do not or rarely use the Internet.

Everyone can participate and contribute to Digidel 2013 – from private individuals to organizations and companies. Start by visiting www.digidel.se for some inspiration from the efforts of other participants.
