Billing sequence

( For the renewal fee / renewal fees applicable domain name(s))

Normal bill (separate bill) for the annual fee(s) of a domain name

  • A notification e-mail containing information regarding the billing is sent to the payment-notice recipient between the 23rd and 29th of the month before billing informing the recipient that they will be billed in the following month. This address can be changed until the 7th of the subsequent month.
  • Bills will be mailed by Svea Ekonomi, which generally does this on the first weekday after the 8th of each month.
  • Between four to six days after the due date, a reminder is sent to the payment-notice recipient by e-mail.
  • About 10 days after the due date, a reminder is sent by mail.
  • About 10 days (the 1st of each month) after the reminder letter, a final e-mail is sent to the holder with information regarding deactivation. The e-mail address is the one that the holder personally indicated, such as info@domän.se, domän@domän.se, postmaster@domän.se, hostmaster@domän.se
  • Between the 11th and the 15th, the domain becomes deactivated.
  • This is followed by a deactivation period of 60 days follows. The domain name is subsequently deactivated and the domain becomes available for others to use.

(*)The payment-notice recipient is the holder of the account of the payment mediator chosen by said holder. The e-mail address used by .SE Direkt in conjunction with billing is the e-mail address that was selected in conjunction with registration; an e-mail address that is updated via the DomainManager or the payment mediator’s (billing contact’s) e-mail address.

Final e-mail

Svea Ekonomi manages the payment notifications on behalf of .SE Direkt. Unless the annual fee is paid despite the bill and the reminder (annual fee plus SEK 25, which is sent by traditional and e-mail), what is known as a final e-mail will be sent.

For recipients of a final e-mail, the following applies:

  • A final e-mail entails the deactivation and deregistration of the domain name unless payment is received.
  • A domain name remains deactivated for 60 days prior to being deregistered and subsequently becomes available.

If you have received a final e-mail despite paying the annual fee, you should immediately contact .SE’s customer service at Svea Ekonomi, Tel: +46 (0)8 735 29 89. You will then be asked to confirm your payment with a receipt. (Also refer to the above information regarding payment bills).

Please note that the annual fee for the domain name does not include any potential services used in conjunction with your domain name, such as a website or e-mail account.
